#Dawntilldusk7project_2016 – Final Report
So this is it the final report on this years Dawn till Dusk. It was both a failure and a success. I did not achieve what I did last year. As you can see on my previous posts on the subject I missed a few sessions due to both my Wife’s Health (and my Caring responsibilities) and my own lack of fitness this year. In the end I missed four sessions. Overall the issue with this challenge is always the elevation change not the distance and that and running every 12 hours is one of the things that makes it so interesting. So even though I didn’t achieve what I hoped I’m still pretty happy with it this year. It’s a good base to springboard what I hope will be a good Autumn/Winter running to regain my fitness back to what it was and to kick off this years injuries/illness. Also one other disappointment this year was the last days running I could not crest the hill as the winds were so high it would have been dangerous so I ran the distance on a different route.
I’m really looking forward to my Winter running now and even next years Dawntilldusk and hopefully next year it will be a lot more successful. I have an interesting Challenge for December so now into my 6 weeks or so of prep for that. So I’ll leave you with some Stats from the 7 days and below is the links to the previous posts and my Video of the week. As always you can see me on other social media links at the top left.
Distance run:-83.1 km (51.6miles)
Elevation Gain:- 1565 m (5146 ft)
