The Throws of Autumn
I’ve been a bit quiet for a few weeks, life has meant I’ve not written as much as I like to. I’m hoping to catch up with stuff soon. I have several e-mails I need to respond to (Sorry if you’re one of those waiting for a reply). Also I need to finally post my dawntilldusk7project write up (coming soon I promise).
I’ve just had to take a week off due to illness. It’s always weird when returning from a week off. There’s always this niggle in the back of your mind that you could have lost months of fitness in just over a week. So coming back it’s just nice to get out there to remove these worries. So my first run back was in the pouring rain, my waterproof was a little tighter than normal so I must have gained a couple of pounds over my week off. No worries though it’ll go pretty quickly. Even though it was wet damp and muddy it was lovely to hit the trails again and of course the official traildog was eager to be back out there. My second run was in a beautiful sunny Autumn afternoon. A steady 9 miler celebrating the joys of Autumn. I paused and sat by the beach while the official traildog made friends with a Golden Retriever.
I’m looking forward to the Winter probably by the back end I’ll be fed up with the cold wind and snow but at present I’m looking forward to running in those conditions. At present though I’m just enjoying the throws of Autumn and to building my mileage back up.
