Embrace the Adventure
I normally hate labels, labels can restrict you. When I was big into mountain biking in the 1990’s I never labelled myself as a Mountain Biker. I was just a cyclist who rode the trails, roads and anything else. I’ve been thinking a lot about my style of running recently and what I want and get out of it. So I’ve decided to give myself a label ‘Adventure Runner’.
So that’s it I’m an ‘Adventure Runner’. What though does that mean? I run for that adventure and to me every run is one, be it a physical, environmental or mental adventure. I do not run for medals or plaudits I just run because I enjoy and embrace the adventure. My goals change as does everyone’s but the one thing that remains constant it the adventure. An adventure does not have to be a big thing running a mile can be just as much of an adventure as running 30 miles. So expect to see this term around here a lot because we all need some adventure in our lives.
