Hi, I'm D and I live with my wife Rosie, two dogs and three cats in The Orkney Islands, Scotland UK. I am a full time carer to my wife and I love to run, I am also interested in photography and art amongst other things.

    Interesting article but I could not eat the amount of carbs he is recommending on a daily basis. Not only could I physically not eat that much I would be way over even the highest recommended caloric level based on my BMR. I am finding however that I run better when I eat more carbs, especially in the day or so before my long runs.

    I must admit I would struggle with that amount of carbs as well. I’m at the moment still tweaking my carbs for the long runs so I have a few ideas for when I’m back training I want to try.
