So 6 months in and now is the time for Reflection. According to the Oxford English Dictionary. Some of the definitions are :-
So that’s what this post will be concentrating on ‘reflections’. On January 28th (the day before the change) my reflection was very different. I distorted that reflection as a way not to accept that something needed to be done. Things were and are out of control but the things that I could control I wasn’t taking control of. You can’t force people to take control they have to learn for themselves. The decision has to be your own no ones else’s. As much as my lovely wife had been nudging me the only person who could make the decision was myself. The only person who could do it was myself.
So fast forward six months whats changed? Other than the obvious physical differences it’s mentally that has the greatest impact. There are things I believe I can control. Those things I can control I do as best I can. Rather than try and do things I work on the Yoda mantra ‘Do or do not … There is no Try.’ In my previous post about Running I mentioned the difference in mindset about me and a friend when I was 16. He new he could do I wondered ‘How’ he could.
I hope this post doesn’t like some dodgy motivational speech the next one will concentrate more about the practical things I have learnt.
